Week 04 - Plaguebringer Bust

 September's Discord artist challenge was 'Dragon', I challenged myself to learn more through Zbrush to prepare for some projects later in the year!

I based this sculpt on one of my favorite dragons 'Plaguebringer' from Flight Rising! This was such a fun sculpt to bring one of my favorite 2D characters to 3D.

Week 04 - Intro to Blueprints

Keybind blueprint - The Flickering Sign

The basic idea of this blueprint is to turn off/on the emissives on one of the signs when the player is in the starting zone. It is done by creating the reference for a material change within the blueprint, then when the player presses 'G' on their keyboard it utilizes a timeline to slowly transition the parameter from 1 to 0


Trigger Volume Event - Lower the Baracades

This blueprint is a bit simpler, when the player enters the collision volume, after a short delay, translate the objects downwards.

Week 02 Modular Environmental Creation Part 2

Week 2 of the modular environment. I really enjoyed this stage, slowly seeing the area come to life and form even with basic shape structure. This assignment makes me think back to a modular cathedral environment I was working on as a tech art demo and how I could apply these lessons to that.
